GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION,

All Persons residing in the Island who have hitherto acted under a Commission appointing them Magistrates and Justices of the Peace in places within the Dominions of the Emperor of China, which Commission was revoked by a Notification in the Gazette of the 4th Instant, are requested to apply at the Chief Magistrates' Office, where the new form of Oath prescribed for Justices of the Peace, within the Colony of Hongkong will be administered to them.
